During a recent visit to Brisbane, sacred artist Damien Walker was featured by The Catholic Leader in an article exploring his artistic journey and the growing international reach of the Studio of Saint Philomena. From stained glass restorations in New Zealand to new commissions in Australia, Damien’s work continues to honour tradition while engaging with the Church’s living story today.

The Studio of Saint Philomena was honoured with the 2019 Resene Total Colour Heritage Award for its meticulous restoration of the Catholic Church of the Holy Passion in Amberley. This multi-year project brought history to life with expert craftsmanship, colour precision, and over 1000 sheets of Florentine gold.
